Countdown 2 Zero is public/private community collaboration, initiated by Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control, the Board of County Commissioners and Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League to bring animal welfare organizations together and end the euthanasia of adoptable animals in Palm Beach County.
Our belief is that our community has the expertise, the means and, therefore, the obligation to aggressively implement strategies that will reduce the number of animals needing temporary shelter; thus, ending the euthanasia of adoptable animals in Palm Beach County. With the implementation of Countdown 2 Zero and planned county-wide adoption events such as this one, the community as a whole will become part of the solution.
