Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League Receives

Forever Nonprofit Endowment Building Challenge Grant

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (January 25, 2017) Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, Palm Beach County’s oldest and largest animal shelter, is pleased to announce that the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties has awarded the League a $10,000 matching grant toward building the League’s Endowment Fund.

For every dollar that is contributed to the League’s endowment fund between now and June 15, 2017, the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties will match it with another dollar up to $ 10,000.  Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League established its endowment fund with the Community Foundation in 2014 to build an ongoing financial platform which will grow over time to support its life-saving mission.

The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties is proud to partner with Peggy Adams to help grow its endowment through the Forever Nonprofit Endowment Building Challenge $10,000 matching grant. Strong nonprofits are vital to the health of our community, and an endowment fund for Peggy Adams helps sustain its vision of caring for and protecting animals - forever,” said Bradley Hurlburt, president and CEO of the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties.

“We are extremely grateful to the Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin Counties for this grant” said Rich Anderson, Executive Director and CEO of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.  “Our endowment fund opened with an initial gift of $ 50,000; this grant will make it possible to nearly double our fund’s size in just six months.  Revenues coming from the interest earned by this endowment will help us provide medical care and shelter to our County’s lost, homeless, and abandoned animals; and find homes for homeless and neglected animals while raising awareness of animal welfare throughout Palm Beach County forever.”
