Over a Thousand People and their Pets Participated in the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League's 16th Annual Barry Crown Walk for the Animals

Palm Beach Gardens, FL- (March 21, 2017) Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League's 16th Annual Barry Crown Walk for the Animals took place on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Downtown at the Gardens.  Over one thousand people along with their adorable pets gathered on this beautiful South Florida day to raise money and awareness for the League's life-saving mission. This Walk was the most successful one to date.

Participants enjoyed live entertainment, free breakfast, local vendors, and chances to win fabulous silent auction items and raffle prizes. Pets were also washed at the Charity Pet Wash sponsored by Scenthound.  SUNNY 107.9's Jennifer Ross once again graciously hosted the awards ceremony and the days' festivities. Rich Anderson, Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League's Executive Director/CEO, drove the pace car – a decked out golf cart - leading the way along the course.  There was also a very special Walk mascot this year, rescue dog Peggy.  Peggy, along with her adoptive parent led the walk participants on the scenic one-mile route.

The Walk was presented by Hill’s Pet Nutrition.  Other sponsors included:  Whole Foods Market, Paris In Town Le Bistro, Downtown at the Gardens, Scenthound, Johnson Controls, Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart and Shipley, Pet Paradise Resort, Nozzle Nolen, Very Important Paws, Orangetheory Fitness and SUNNY 107.9.

More than $100,000 was raised at this year's Walk.  All proceeds benefitted Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.  To learn more please visit WalkWithPeggy.org, call 561-472-8845 or email.

"As a nonprofit that receives no city, state or federal government funding, the League relies on community support to help us provide services to more than 45,000 dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens every year," said Rich Anderson, Executive Director/CEO of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. "Thanks to all of our sponsors, teams and participants at the Walk, funds raised will allow us to continue to offer these wonderful animals emergency care, spay and neuter services, nutritious food,  vaccinations, behavior  training, foster care, microchip identification and, most importantly forever homes."
