Peggy Adams' 20th Annual Barry Crown Walk for the Animals went Virtual!

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL- (March 9, 2021) Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League’s 20th Annual Barry Crown Walk for the Animals went virtual this year and hosted a special celebration on social media on February 20, 2021.  Although the Walk was virtual, participants still fundraised and celebrated their furry best friends and raised over $116,000 to help animals in need at Peggy Adams.

Peggy Adams’ supporters throughout the community signed up and arranged a walk, either solo or with their pets or with some friends (safely and socially distanced of course) at a place and time that was convenient.  Peggy Adams staff and volunteers participated in a Mini Walk with some adoptable pets that was filmed and aired on the Peggy Adams Facebook page so we could walk “virtually” with our supporters.

“For the first time in the history of our 20-year Walk we went virtual” said Rich Anderson, Executive Director/CEO of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. “We wish that we could have celebrated this milestone event in person - however, thanks to our sponsors and supporters, we raised a significant amount that will help us save these abandoned and injured animals in need.”  Anderson added, "As a nonprofit that receives no city, state or federal government funding, Peggy Adams relies on community support to help us provide services to more than 35,000 dogs, cats, puppies and kittens every year, we are extremely grateful to all of those who participated in this event."

All proceeds benefitted Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.  The 20th Annual Barry Crown Walk for the Animals was presented by MetLife Pet Insurance.  Sponsors of the Walk included KAST Construction, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, 1-800-PetMeds, BRK Republic, Daszkal Bolton, Garden of Life, Home Again, NCCI, Nozzle Nolen Pest Solutions, Scenthound, Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley, PA, Jolene & Larry Shapiro and Hubbard Radio stations: 97.7 WRMF, X102.3, New Country 103.1, Sunny 107.9, Party 96.3, FOX Sports 640AM and 850 WFTL.

KAST Construction and Hill’s Pet Nutrition also generously sponsored this year's Walk with matching grants.
