Adoptions Concierge – Peggy Adams Campus
Assists clients wanting to adopt a cat by guiding them through the adoption process and showing animals to prospective adopters and answering questions. Duties include data entry, telephone calls, responding to emails, answering questions about adoptable animals, and helping clients pick items for their new pet in the boutique and other duties as assigned.
Hours/shifts: Daily four-hour shifts: 10AM to 2PM; 12PM to 4PM; 2PM to 6PM
Animal Bio Writer
Responsible for meeting with the pets available for adoption and using information stored in our system regarding the animal’s history, notes (previous owner, behavior team, medical) and any other descriptions to write an adoption biography for potential adopters to read. Bios should describe the pet’s personality, activity level, likes and dislikes in a fun, positive and creative way to attract adopters.
Hours/shifts: Daily four-hour shifts: 10AM to 2PM; 1PM-4PM
Animal Photographer & Videographer
Responsible for taking photos and videos of pets that are available for adoption. A great photo/video is the best way to help our shelter pets find a loving home.

Animal Care – Feline (Adoptions and Holding)
Assists cats and kittens in our care by spot cleaning, changing out soiled bedding, changing litter/cleaning litter pans, providing water and food, laundry, reporting any health or behavior concerns to supervisor. Hours/shifts: Daily 8AM to 12PM; 12PM-2PM
Assists cats and kittens in our care by conducting behavior checks on kittens to ensure they are socialized and ready for the adoption program, and “Meet your Match” – “Feline-ality” Evaluations on adult cats to determine how the cats will likely behave in a home to make better adoption matches.
Hours/shifts: Daily 10AM - 2PM; 2PM - 5PM
Community Cat TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) Intake and Discharge Assistant
Assists cats arriving for TNVR services by checking the cats in, helping clients with surgical paperwork, weighing cats in traps to make sure the cats are of weight for surgery, transporting cats to the surgical area, also assists with discharge of cats brought in the previous day, and clean up the lobby as needed. Must be able to lift 40 pounds and deal with unpleasant odors.
Hours/shifts: Monday through Friday 7:45AM to 9:45AM
Community Cat Transport and Care
Assists cats that have received TNVR services by transporting them from the surgical holding area to the lobby. Once all the cats have been moved out of the area, clean, sweep, mop, clean shelves, prepare paper liners. Check the lobby and clean as needed. Must be able to lift 40 pounds and deal with unpleasant odors.
Hours/shifts: Tuesday through Thursday 8:00AM to 11:00 AM
Enrichment - Feline
Assists cats and kittens in our care by providing enrichment. Tasks include preparing/distributing treats and toys, collecting and cleaning toys, and interacting with the cats.
Hours/shifts: Daily 9AM - 12PM; 2PM - 5PM

Kitten Nursery Attendant – Bottle feeders
Assists Nursery Care Technicians with neonatal kittens in our nursery by providing direct care. The nursery is open 24 hours per day, seven days per week mid-March through December. Duties include bottle feeding, general feeding, spot and deep cleaning as needed, stocking supplies and some data entry.
Hours/shifts: Daily 12AM-4AM; 4AM-8AM; 8AM-12PM; 12PM-4PM; 4PM-8PM; 8PM-12AM
Kitten Infant Holding Attendant
Assists Nursery Care Technicians with infant kittens in our holding room by providing direct care. Infant holding is open 16 hours per day, seven days per week mid-March through December. Duties include feeding, socializing, spot and deep cleaning as needed, stocking supplies and some data entry.
Hours/shifts: Daily 7AM-11AM; 11AM-3PM; 3PM-7PM; 7PM-11PM
Offsite Feline Animal Care – Pet Stores (throughout Palm Beach County)
Care for the felines at the pet stores and provide information to clients wanting to adopt a cat. Duties include maintaining the habitat and ensuring it is clean, felines have food, water and a clean litterbox, showing animals to prospective adopters and recruiting additional Offsite Feline Animal Care volunteers for the pet stores. If desired, facilitate feline adoptions.
Hours/shifts: Commit to a minimum of one day a week for one hour during store hours; 9AM-10AM; 6PM-7PM (preferred)
Offsite Feline Transporter – Pet Stores (throughout Palm Beach County)
Respond to daily emails if you can assist with transporting. Duties include delivering felines to pet stores, picking up felines from pet stores and return them to Peggy Adams when they get sick, bringing felines in for 11am booster appointments then returning them back to the pet store and bringing adoption paperwork back to the shelter.
Hours/shifts: Based on your availability as needed per daily email.
Offsite Feline Event Handler – PetMobile
Assist and provide information to clients wanting to adopt a feline at offsite adoption events. Duties include welcoming clients that want to visit our felines available for adoption, guiding them through the adoption process, and taking the feline out of the cage for adopters to interact with him/her. If available, assist with the loading of the felines on to and off the PetMobile.
Hours/shifts: based on scheduled events; most events are during the day on the weekends or in the evenings during the week.
Offsite Adoption Feline Selector for Pet Stores (throughout Palm Beach County)
Responsible for selecting felines and preparing them to be transported to a pet store. Duties include checking to see what felines meet the criteria to go to the pet store, spending time with the feline to make sure he/she can be held and is healthy, printing out paperwork to complete its adoption folder and updating his online profile with the new location.
Hours/shifts: Monday – Friday, 8AM to 6PM; Sunday, 10AM-6PM only when stores need felines.
Tiny Lion Charmers (Feline Socialization)
To assist the Behavior TLC Coordinator with handling and socializing hissy/spitty kittens; provide daily socializing/playtime for kittens; and spending quality time with the adult cats through one-on-one time. Tasks include, but are not limited to, holding, playing and interacting with the kittens/cats in the shelter.
Hours/shifts: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesdays 9AM-12PM; 1PM-4PM
