Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League’s Annual Patrons Honored at Reception

PALM BEACH, FL- (April 18, 2017) Close to 50 guests gathered at the beautiful Palm Beach home of Steven and Laurie Raber Gottlieb on April 13 for a reception to honor the Annual Patrons of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.  Annual Patrons’ loyal and generous contributions create support essential to sustaining programs and services for the more than 45,000 animals served by the League each year.

Guests enjoyed a special demonstration by Bess, an “alumna” of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.  Bess is a Boston terrier/daschund mix adopted from the League by David Leavitt some years back.  Leavitt and Bess have won several awards through AKC Canine Partners.

Mrs. Gottlieb engaged guests with welcoming remarks, noting that she began her own involvement with the League in 2001 as a behavior training volunteer.  She continues this service today, leading some of the free obedience training classes the League offers to the public, one of numerous programs designed to keep pets and people together.  Mrs. Gottlieb was invited to join the Board of Directors in 2008 and became a member of the Executive Committee in 2009, where she still serves today.

Lesly Smith, Chairman of the League’s Board, thanked Steven and Laurie for opening their hearts and home.  Rich Anderson, Executive Director/CEO of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League then recognized all the patrons by saying, “The time and gifts given by this group of gracious people supports the League’s lifesaving mission all year long.  Thank you for saving the animals in this community.”
