Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League JOINS NBC 6 AND Telemundo 51
TO HOST FOURTH ANNUAL PET ADOPTION DRIVE – CLEAR THE SHELTERS™ ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 18
West Palm Beach, FL (August 10, 2018) Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League recently announced it is participating in NBC 6 and Telemundo’s fourth annual Clear the Shelters™ pet adoption drive on Saturday, August 18, 2018. On this day Peggy Adams will offer waived pet adoption fees to help local families adopt a new pet. Since 2015, NBC 6 and Telemundo 51 stations’ nationwide Clear the Shelters™ campaign has resulted in more than 150,000 pet adoptions.
“We are excited to be chosen for this national promotion again. Last year’s Clear the Shelters™ event resulted in close to 50 adoptions in one Saturday at Peggy Adams. Clear the Shelters™ is a great campaign that touches and energizes the entire country – of course we are happy to be a part of it,” stated Rich Anderson, Executive Director/CEO of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. “Adoption events such as this enable us to find wonderful, loving homes so that we can continue our mission of saving more homeless animals’ lives,” continued Anderson.
WHAT: Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League (and Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control) to participate as an official Clear the Shelters™ partner with NBC 6 and Telemundo 51. On Saturday, August 18th, Peggy Adams will waive pet adoption fees to help families adopt a new pet. All dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. All Peggy Adams' adopters receive a free bag of Science Diet food, 30 days of free PetFirst Pet Insurance, a registered HomeAgain Microchip, and $25 off initial flea & tick services from Nozzle Nolen Pet-Friendly Pest Control. Dogs also receive a complimentary Essential Care Package from Scenthound and free basic training classes. Food Trucks and event sponsors will also be on-site.
