West Palm Beach, FL (July 31, 2018) For all of those families that have opened their home and heart to a rescue dog, and might not have known exactly the date or month your furry friend was born, you can now celebrate on August 1st, the universal birthday for all shelter and rescue dogs. Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League plans to celebrate DOGust 1st by throwing a birthday party for the dogs currently at the shelter still looking for their forever home and for those that have adopted a dog from the League.

The birthday party at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League (3100 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach) will take place at 1:00 pm under the portico in front of the Grace pavilion. This special birthday party will include a decorated cake for photos and individual cupcakes to pass out to the shelter dogs. And, a birthday party isn’t complete without singing happy birthday! The staff at Peggy Adams and all of those visiting the League on August 1st will join in singing the happy birthday song while sporting party hats and noise makers. The dogs will also be wearing colorful bandanas and party hats (if they'll leave them on that is).
