Record-Breaking Crowd at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League's 18th Annual Barry Crown Walk for the Animals

West Palm Beach, FL- (March 1, 2019) Over 1,800 people and their adorable pets gathered for Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League’s 18th Annual Barry Crown Walk for the Animals on February 23, 2019 at the Meyer Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach.  All of those that participated raised money to help save the lives of injured, homeless and abandoned animals that are or will be in the care of the League.

Peggy Adams’ 2019 Walk Mascot, Chloe, is a former shelter dog herself. Chloe along with Rich Anderson, Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League’s Executive Director/CEO led the walkers and their pets on the scenic one-mile walk along the West Palm Beach Waterfront on Flagler Drive.  Anderson drove the pace car sponsored by Nozzle Nolen. While participants enjoyed a perfect South Florida day with live entertainment, local vendors and a complimentary breakfast provided by Lynora’s.  There were also chances to win amazing silent auction items and raffle prizes.  Jennifer Ross from SUNNY 107.9 FM and WFTL 850 AM once again graciously hosted the days’ festivities including a pet costume contest with fabulous prize baskets.

"This was a record-breaking Walk for the Animals with more than 1,800 people registered,” says Rich Anderson, Executive Director/CEO of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. "We are excited to have our annual event at the Meyer Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach and are grateful for all of those who came out and participated. As a nonprofit that receives no city or federal government funding, Peggy Adams relies on community support to help us provide services to more than 30,000 cats, dogs, puppies and kittens every year.”

This is the League’s largest public fundraiser annually and all proceeds benefit Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.
