Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League recently announced it is participating in NBC 6 and Telemundo’s fifth annual Clear the Shelters™ pet adoption drive on Saturday, August 17, 2019. On this day, Peggy Adams will offer waived pet adoption fees to help local families adopt a new pet. Sharon Anderer Joins Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League as Director of Finance

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is pleased to announce that Sharon Anderer has joined the League as Director of Finance.

Born and raised in New York, Sharon graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with a B.S. in Accounting.  Her career of over 30 years began in public accounting during which time she earned her license as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League Rescues Dogs from South Korea Meat Farm Five Dogs to Arrive at the League Monday, July 1st

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is honored to be impacting animal welfare locally and globally with our partnership with Humane Society International and being the point agency in Palm Beach County to save five dogs from Korean meat farms.

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League will be receiving the dogs (ages two to five years old) on Monday, July 1st. A total of fifteen dogs are being transported to partner shelters in Florida. Click here to read more!

As the summer heats up, Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League has a few reminders and tips to help protect your furry friends during the dog days of summer.  It is important to remember that if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for your pets. Dogs are vulnerable to injuries and illnesses related to hot weather including heat exhaustion, heat stroke, sunburn, and foot pad burns. The most dangerous condition is heat stroke, which can cause organ failure, seizures, brain damage, hemorrhages, blindness, convulsions and even death. (Click here to read more...)

Kitten Season is here! Foster homes needed!

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League’s Neonatal Kitten Nursery is the only one of its kind in South Florida and is bustling with activity this kitten season! Since March 19, 2019, Peggy Adams has received 192 neonatal kittens which are newborns up to 4 weeks old. Year-to-date, Peggy Adams has admitted 937 kittens into their program from 0-5 months old and hundreds more will be on their way! The League is looking for additional temporary foster homes to help assist with the care of these kittens.  Click here to read more!

Peggy Adams Presents MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU!

Name your own price adoption fees for dogs over 40lbs and cats over five months on Saturday, May 4 during Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League’s “May the 4th Be With You” adoption event at their West Palm Beach location (3200 N. Military Trail).  

This exciting Star Wars themed afternoon begins at 11:30 a.m. with Dog Yoga under the Portico.  The hour-long dog spotlight class will feature some of the League’s long-term adoptable dogs who will be stretching their stuff with their volunteers.  All of those wishing to stop by and watch this adorable dog yoga class are invited!  There will also be a special guest appearance by the Everglades Squad of the 501st Legion- a Star Wars fan based costuming group where photos can be taken.  The staff at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League will also be in costume with a contest set for 12:15 p.m.

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League’s Kitten Shower Event is a Purrfect Time to Adopt a Furry Friend or Donate Items to the League’s Nursery & Foster Program

West Palm Beach, FL- (April 22, 2019) Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League will host their annual Kitten Shower on Saturday, May 11th from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 12th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Kittens will be available for adoption and pre-adoption plus Peggy Adams will be collecting items from their Wish List for their Nursery and Foster Programs. The deadline is right around the corner to file your taxes…April 15th! To de-stress during tax time, Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is offering $15 pet adoptions! The Tax Day Adoption promotion (April 12 to April 15, 2019) is valid for dogs 40lbs. and over and for cats five months or older. Dogs Rescued from Palm Beach Gardens Home Now Healthy Enough for Surgical Procedures at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League

On Thursday, March 14 and Friday, March 15th, the medical team at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League will be performing 24 dental procedures and spay or neuter surgeries. Some of the senior dogs will only have dental work done due to their age and health.  All surgeries and procedures will begin promptly at 9:00 am on Thursday and Friday. Record-Breaking Crowd at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League's 18th Annual Barry Crown Walk for the Animals

Over 1,800 people and their adorable pets gathered for Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League’s 18th Annual Barry Crown Walk for the Animals on February 23, 2019 at the Meyer Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach.  All of those that participated raised money to help save the lives of injured, homeless and abandoned animals that are or will be in the care of the League. Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is in Urgent Need of Donations 38 Dogs Rescued from Palm Beach Gardens

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League just received 38 small dogs of various ages and breeds from Palm Beach County Animal Care & Control due to a hoarding case in Palm Beach Gardens. Upon initial exams by League veterinarians, some of the dogs have underlying skin and dental issues and all of them need to be spayed or neutered.
