PALM BEACH, FL- (APRIL 29, 2021) The Young Friends of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League hosted their second annual Party Animal Gala at the Flagler Museum on April 24, 2021. More than 100 guests attended this animal-themed black-tie event that included an unforgettable night of dining, entertainment and “letting spirit animals take flight” to support the humane rescue work of Peggy Adams. WEST PALM BEACH, FL- (April 8, 2021) In early March, Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League led a rescue effort to save 70 dogs from Texas suffering in shelters whose water and heat had been destroyed in the extraordinary winter storms that hit that region.  The rescue took place in coordination with Wings of Rescue and Austin Pets Alive! - the two organizations that took the lead in Texas in managing the rescue of animals most at risk after the winter storms. Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League’s 20th Annual Barry Crown Walk for the Animals went virtual this year and hosted a special celebration on social media on February 20, 2021.  Although the Walk was virtual, participants still fundraised and celebrated their furry best friends and raised over $116,000 to help animals in need at Peggy Adams. Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League to Receive 15 Dogs from Suwannee County Animal Shelter due to Tropical Storm ETA

WEST PALM BEACH, FL- (November 13, 2020) Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is an emergency placement partner with Best Friends Animal Society and later today, Friday, November 13 at approximately 2:30 p.m., Peggy Adams will receive 15 dogs from Suwannee County Animal Shelter in Florida. This rescue, coordinated by Best Friends, is needed because all the dog kennels in Suwannee County are outside and flooding is expected this weekend due to the storm ETA. This transfer will also assist in clearing out the Suwannee County Animal Shelter to make room for any animals displaced by the storm. Click here to read more.

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League Looking to Find Kitten a Forever Home after being Rescued from a Storm Drain by Delray Beach Fire Rescue

West Palm Beach, FL (September 3, 2020) An adorable kitten that was rescued last Wednesday, August 26th from a storm drain is safe and sound at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. Delray Beach Fire Rescue saved the tiny kitten after receiving a 911 call from a person hearing loud “meows” coming from a storm drain on Congress Avenue in Delray Beach. The rescue crew delivered the kitten to Palm Beach County Animal Care & Control. On Friday, August 28th, the furry feline was transferred to Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League and is in a foster home until she is ready to be adopted to her forever home. Click here to read more.

West Palm Beach, FL (August 26, 2020) For 47-years Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League has published their annual Publicity Hound which gets debuted at the Peggy Adams’ Annual Christmas Ball, held at the Sailfish Club.  The Publicity Hound is a glossy 8x10 publication for those looking to honor pets, past and present and/or highlight their company’s support of animals, all while raising much needed funds to save the lives of homeless cats and dogs. Although the annual Christmas Ball will not take place this year due to Covid-19 safety concerns, the Publicity Hound will be published and mailed to hundreds of Peggy Adams’ supporters.  Click here to read more...

WEST PALM BEACH, FL- (July 1, 2020) July is National Lost Pet Prevention Month and Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League wants to make sure your pets have a way to get back home if they get scared and run away during the July 4th holiday.  Animal control officials across the country report a 30% increase in lost pets each year between July 4th and 6th.  July 5th is one of the busiest days of the year for shelters. WEST PALM BEACH, FL- (June 10, 2020) Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is proud to be a partner with Steel Tie Spirits Co. - a locally owned father and son distillery offering a line of small-batch spirits that is a perfect depiction of their Palm Beach County roots.  In a continued effort to serve the community, and especially during this Covid-19 crisis, Steel Tie Spirits Co. has rolled out their newest product, 80% Alcohol Hand Sanitizer.  During the pandemic, Peggy Adams, like many others, were having a difficult time finding hand sanitizer.  Thanks to Steel Tie Spirits Co., they recently donated two cases to Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.  An anonymous donor of Peggy Adams added to this generous donation by providing funds to purchase three additional cases.  Click here to read more.
