The directive to ‘shelter’ in place and remain at home for an extended period has driven most of us to stay socially connected through our social media channels. Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League has come up with an ingenious diversion for shelter pet owners searching for something new to do without leaving their home. From today through April 30, 2020, the popular shelter and pet adoption center is accepting submissions for user-generated content in the forms of video footage and still photography that portray the fun, funny, fuzzy and fabulous moments of life with an adopted cat or dog.  Click here to read more!

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League Suggests Including Pets in Preparedness Plan Amid COVID-19 Concerns

With the number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease on the rise worldwide, it is important for Palm Beach County residents to include their pets in preparedness plans. Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League joins the Humane Society of the United States and The Association for Animal Welfare Advancement in suggesting community members create a preparedness plan that includes their pets in the event Palm Beach County is impacted by the virus that causes COVID-19. In addition to preparations typically recommended for any natural disaster threat, individuals with pets should identify family members or friends to care for pets if someone in the household becomes ill and is hospitalized.  Click here to read more!

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League to Receive 14 Dogs from the Bahamas on Friday, March 6 at 1:00 p.m

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League will be receiving 14 dogs from the Bahamas on Friday, March 6th at 1:00 p.m. when the animals arrive at Jet Aviation (1515 Perimeter Road) in West Palm Beach. Wings of Rescue and GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Rebuild joined forces to fly up to 65 animals from Freeport, Bahamas to empty out the Humane Society of Grand Bahama (HSGB). This will allow staff and volunteers for Rescue Rebuild to continue their work to rebuild the shelter after it was severely damaged by last fall’s devastating Hurricane Dorian. Over $115,000 Raised for Homeless & Neglected Animals at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League’s 19th Annual Walk for the Animals

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League’s 19th Annual Barry Crown Walk for the Animals took place at Meyer Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach on February 22, 2020 (2/22/20)- the year of the tutus! This is the largest dog-walk in Palm Beach County and raised over $115,000 for animals at Peggy Adams waiting to find their forever homes.

CBS 12 News - PetSmart to host National Pet Adoption Weekend

Peggy Adams is partnering with PetSmart in Lake Park for National Adoption Weekend. The event will be held at the PetSmart in Lake Park, among 16 other locations, and Peggy Adams says it needs volunteers for the event.
