WEST PALM BEACH, FL (July 28, 2023) Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League will hold its third TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) Spay Day on Saturday, August 5, 2023. The goal is to TNVR over 500 community cats in South Florida. These surgeries include spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, microchip, and a tipped ear to signify a completed TNVR surgery.
A team of veterinarians will perform an average of 100 surgeries per hour. This community TNVR Spay Day will bring veterinary professionals across Florida to perform surgeries.
Working alongside Peggy Adams’ staff will be volunteers with duties throughout the event, including check-in, surgery prep, instrument sanitization, cat & trap organization, recovery, and more.
TNVR is a program in which free-roaming cats are humanely trapped, spayed/neutered, vaccinated for rabies and other feline viruses, ear-tipped, and then returned to their outdoor homes. TNVR has been shown to be the least costly, most effective, and humane way of stabilizing and decreasing community cat populations.
