School's Out: Spring Break Camp

Counselor in Training
Our CIT program is designed to help students develop skills in areas such as leadership, collaboration, problem-solving, and communication to better prepare them for college and/or future job opportunities. Our camps (for children ages 7-14) take place onsite at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League in West Palm Beach.
Under the supervision of staff, CIT's help with check-in and check-out, activity and game preparation, snacks, crafts, setup, cleanup, and other tasks. The hours of this program are 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. There is a $75 per week program fee. Service hours are available.
Applicants must be at least 13 years old to apply. A waiver of liability is required for all applicants under the age of 18.

There are paid and unpaid opportunities:
Spring Break Camp
Summer Camp (with preference given to those who can commit to all 6 weeks)
A weekly stipend of $400-$450 per week, depending upon experience. Volunteers must commit to a minimum of 1 full camp week. Service hours also available. Camp Counselors help with check-in and check-out, activity and game preparation, snacks, crafts, setup, cleanup, and other tasks. Shifts are typically 8:30am - 3:30pm.
Applicants must be at least 16 years old to apply for paid positions and volunteer opportunities. A waiver of liability is required for all applicants under the age of 18. Successful applicants will be subject to background check and fingerprinting, paid for by Peggy Adams.
[Past Event] School's Out... Summer Fun!
A week-long opportunity to learn all about dogs and cats. Express your creative side through arts-n-crafts. Play games and activities, and meet new friends, all while helping shelter animals! Activities include animal interactions, storytime, guest speakers, behind-the-scenes experiences, and even an opportunity to earn some service hours.
[Past Event] School's Out... Oh Behave! (Cat Edition)
Peggy Adams is hosting a 3-day opportunity for kids to explore cat training. Learn about cat behavior, develop your inner animal trainer skills, and try your hand at training our tiny lions. The day will be filled with meet-n-greets, arts-n-crafts, games, and activities
[Past Event] Gimme Shelter
A day-long opportunity for kids to get involved and learn why shelters are needed and the great work provided by Peggy Adams. The day will be filled with meet-n-greets, arts-n-crafts, games, and activities!
